The 38th Annual Meeting of SEASECS will take place from Thursday, March 1 through Saturday, March 3, 2012, near the charming downtown square of Decatur, GA, which can be reached via MARTA rail service from the Atlanta airport.

1) Via I-20 East: Exit I-20 at Exit 65 (GA-155/Candler Rd), turn right. Continue 4.5, turn left onto E. Ponce de Leon Ave. Go 0.2 miles, turn right on Clairemont Ave. Hotel is on the left.

2) Via I-20 West: Take exit 60B for US-23 N/Moreland Ave., heading north into Atlanta. Go 2.0 miles, and turn right onto Ponce De Leon Ave NE for 2.2 miles. After the tressel bridge, bear left* and continue onto Scott Blvd for one mile. Turn RIGHT onto GA-155 S/Clairemont Ave. The hotel will be on the right.

3) Via I-75 South: Take exit 248C toward GA-10 E/Freedom Pkwy/Carter Center. Turn left onto Moreland Ave NE. Turn right onto Ponce De Leon Ave NE. You will cross under a train trestle. Bear left* and continue onto Scott Blvd for a mile, turn RIGHT onto GA-155 S/Clairemont Ave. The hotel will be on the right.

4) Via I-75 North: Take exit 227 to merge onto I-675 N toward I-285 E. Take the I-285 W exit on the left toward Atlanta/Atlanta Airport. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-23/Moreland Ave. Turn right onto GA-42 N/US-23 N/Moreland Ave, go 7.4 miles. Turn right onto Ponce De Leon Ave NE. You will eventually cross under a train trestle. Bear left* and continue onto Scott Blvd for a mile, turn RIGHT onto GA-155 S/Clairemont Ave. The hotel will be on the right.

5) Via I-85 South: Heading south on I-85, take Exit 95A (Spaghetti Junction!) toward Augusta/Macon on I-285E.  From I-285, take exit 39A to merge onto US-78W toward Atlanta/Decatur for 4.1 miles. Turn LEFT onto GA-155 S/Clairemont Ave. The hotel will be on your right.

6) Via I-85 North: Going north, merge onto I-75 N, for 4.7 miles. Take exit 248C to merge onto Freedom Pkwy toward GA-10 E/Carter Center, going 1.3 miles, and taking the exit toward Georgia 42 E.
After your merge onto Freedom Pkwy, turn left onto Moreland Ave NE for. 0.3 miles. Turn right onto Ponce De Leon Ave NE, go 2.2 miles. You will cross under a train trestle. Bear left and continue onto Scott Blvd for a mile, turn RIGHT onto GA-155 S/Clairemont Ave. The hotel will be on the right.

7) Via the Atlanta airport on MARTA: The MARTA train goes straight into the airport and can take you within two blocks of the hotel. Go NORTH on either of the lines available at the airport, then exit that train at the 5 an Points Station d take the East train. Exit the second train at the stop for downtown Decatur, which will bring you out smack in the middle of the downtown. There are two exit points from the station, but the main one will bring you out onto Church Street, where you’ll turn LEFT, walk a half block to E. Ponce de Leon Ave, take another LEFT after you cross the street, and go one block to Clairemont Ave., turn RIGHT, and you will see the hotel a short walk down that block on the left. The walk from the station is about 2 smallish blocks.** The train ride will take you about 40 minutes. You can purchase a 2-way ticket for your later return to the airport at the ticket kiosks.

* If inexplicably, you are drawn right after the train bridge, fear not! Simply continue on Ponce de Leon into downtown Decatur, and take a left onto Clairemont. You can stop at the Marlay House, on the right, halfway to the hotel, to alleviate any stress resulting from the drive and reading small type-set.
